Abstract
According to data published by the World Health Organization, noncommunicable
diseases are responsible for approximately 74% of all deaths
worldwide. These conditions can largely be prevented through early interventions,
modification of risk behaviors, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Family
medicine plays a central role in this regard, serving as the first point of contact
between patients and the healthcare system. The role of the nurse has undergone
a considerable transformation, evolving from technical and administrative duties
to a much more complex model that involves counseling, health education,
emotional support, and even care coordination.
